Had a great time at the SendOutCards Convention in Salt Lake City this past week! I drove from Pleasanton to Salt Lake City on Tuesday and spent the night in Winnemucca, NV on the way up. Pulled into SLC on Wednesday afternoon. The Treat ‘em Right Seminar was on Thursday at the Salt Palace Convention Center. My entire downline was at the convention with me (thanks Linda for being there!). We stayed at the Hilton, mainly because I had a rewards card with them, which was about a block and a half away from the convention center. Almost everybody else seemed to be staying at the Marriott, though. Except for the rappers, who stayed at our hotel. Linda and I saw them in the lobby yesterday morning and got autographed copies of their CD. Here’s a picture of me with dotBiz, the founder and CEO of SendOutCards, Kody Bateman and Rushan Reed taken at the Anaheim Treat ‘em Right Seminar in January.578566_4685786871908_1803313449_n
I think I’ll probably stay at the Marriott next year. Linda and I have already bought our convention tickets!
Friday and Saturday we had training and motivational speakers and new product announcements and stuff!
We also had lots of rap, featuring Rushan, dotBiz and Aaron (and everyone in the audience on one song!). Also on hand were Ben Stone and Jasmine Trias, both SOC distributors. Most of the songs were written by CEO Kody Bateman, but one song was written by one of his daughters. Also, performing was a young country western singer, Lexi Ulmer, singing a song written for her mother, Jackie, who is also not only a SOC distributor but a network marketing icon.
On Saturday we had Jim Craig of the 1980 US Olympic hockey team as a speaker. He was the goalie for the team that beat the highly favored Russian team and brought home the Gold Medal. Jim was also the one who was skating on the ice, looking for his father in the audience, with the US flag draped over his shoulders.
There were also lots of announcements including new gifts and gifting service, new smart phone apps and the ability to share cards via Pinterest and Instagram.
It was a very inspirational weekend closing with the Gatsby party on Saturday night. Here are a couple of pictures from the party:

Then drove back, straight through, on Sunday. Took about 14 hours and got home at about 1:00 AM!
Well, I think that’s it for now. Check out the new SendOutCards website at www.sendoutcards.com/144087 and send a paper greeting card, in the mail, on me.
