OK…this is the next to last part in our series, although not necessarily the step that you'll take last in accomplishing your goals.

Strategies are your methods for achieving your goals and objectives. More at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strategies

From the Wikipedia link above "Strategy is important because the resources available to achieve these goals are usually limited. Strategy generally involves setting goals, determining actions to achieve the goals, and mobilizing resources to execute the actions. A strategy describes how the ends (goals) will be achieved by the means (resources). "

We're going to veer away from our most recent example and go back to an earlier one…losing weight.

"An example goal may be to lose weight before your high school reunion. The associated objective would be to lose 25 pounds in the next 5 months. The activities or tasks would depend on the strategy you use to reach your objectives. In the weight loss example there are 2 main strategies…diet and exercise and you can choose to implement one or both. So, if you want to exercise as your strategy, your activities may be go to the gym 4-5 days a week."

Friday will be a quick review of what we've covered over this series of blog posts.

Interesting days

Today - https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/ada-lovelace-day/ Not only was the 1st programmer female, but the person who found the 1st computer bug (which was actually a moth hung up in a relay) was a woman, Admiral Grace Hopper

Tomorrow - https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/take-your-parents-to-lunch-day/ This isn't as good as it sounds. It's about having lunch with your kids in the school cafeteria. But you don't have to tell them that

Next Tuesday - https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/count-your-buttons-day/ If you can't find your buttons, they may be with your marbles
