#ChristmasCardDay

This Saturday will be Christmas Card Day, and according to Days of the Year:
If you’ve got time, it’s always nice to make handmade cards to send out. Get hold of some glitter and a dab of glue, and see what you can come up with. The recipients are sure to appreciate it – or if you have children, get them involved in making cards for friends and family!
With the advent of e-mail, it’s easier than ever to send Christmas wishes to friends and family across the world – e-cards appeared in the 90s and are frequently used in place of physical cards, so you’ve got no excuse nowadays not to send those season’s greetings. But since nothing beats the real thing, perhaps now is the right time to send out those Christmas cards so they all get to your family and friends before the last post on 23rd December!
The USPS gives the following guidelines for getting your cards out on time:

Mailing Within Contiguous US

Make sure your mail and packages arrive in time for the holidays by mailing before these recommended deadlines, excluding Alaska and Hawaii.
Send-by dates for expected delivery before Dec. 25th (Actual delivery date may vary and is based on origin, destination, Post Office acceptance time, and other conditions).
  • December 14 — USPS Retail Ground®
  • December 19 — First-Class Mail®
  • December 20 — Priority Mail®
  • December 22 — Priority Mail Express®
For Priority Mail Express® shipments mailed December 23 through December 25, the money-back guarantee applies only if the shipment was not delivered, or delivery was not attempted, within two (2) business days.

Mailing Outside Contiguous US

If you're mailing to Alaska, Hawaii, an APO/FPO/DPO address, or internationally, see the recommended send-by dates for December 25 delivery. International deadlines vary by country.
Although SendOutCards can't help you if you want to put glue and glitter on your cards, we can help you create custom cards. If you're artistic, or if your kids or grand-kids are, you can put your masterpiece on the front of a card...all you need to do is take a photo of it and you can easily place it on the front of your card.

In honor of Christmas Card Day, I'll be holding a Christmas card making workshop where you can learn how to create a custom card and get it into the mail to everyone on your contact list in a matter of minutes...without licking an envelope or stamp.
