Cashflow 101

I know I wrote about this back in March, but since I'm going again tomorrow I thought I'd bring it up again.

For  those of you who aren't familiar with Cashflow 101 and don't want to click on the link above, I'll talk about the game a little bit.

Cashflow 101 is a board game created by Robert Kiyosaki of "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" fame. I like to think of it as Monopoly on steroids, not only can you buy and sell real estate but also stocks. No, you can't build houses or hotels on your property but you collect rents every month whether somebody lands on it or not. A lot of people don't like the game because you keep financial statements...a balance sheet and income statement, but this is one of the main reasons the game was created...to boost financial literacy. But don't worry...there's an app for that! I use this app a lot when I play. This is NOT the Cashflow 101 game, but a calculator to keep track of your financial statements!

There's also an online version of the game available at http://www.richdad.com/apps-games/cashflow-classic. I've played it quite a bit, but haven't played lately. You can create a new game or join an existing game.

Robert Kiyosaki is very important to me and my SendOutCards business for two reasons:

  1. He wrote a book with Donald Trump called "Why We Want You to be Rich". The book talks a lot about network marketing and caused me to get back into it. I joined a network marketing business, Team Beachbody, right before I moved out of the house in March of 2012.
  2. The day after I moved out of the house I went to a Meetup for the Cashflow 101 game. If you want to find out more about that, click on the link above and watch the video. It was at this game that I was introduced to SOC and figured it'd be a great way to promote my Team Beachbody business...but after 4 months I still had 3 1/2 bags of their protein drink and realized that I was probably in the wrong business and turned to SendOutCards as my primary business.

Interesting days

Next Friday - https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/disobedience-day/ And I think I'll celebrate this by not celebrating https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/stay-out-of-the-sun-day/ Radical I know, but that's just how I roll. It's also https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/international-plastic-bag-free-day/ These are, for the most part, not available when you purchase at stores in Alameda County. And it's https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/compliment-your-mirror-day/

It's also https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/aunt-and-uncle-day/ I don't have any aunts, except by marriage. I do have a cuzaunt. I have 2 uncles left, 2 cuzuncles and a half uncle.
