I didn't realize when I started reading Go For No! that it was written as a parable...along the lines of Richest Man in Babylon or Hanging Out for a Living; so when I first opened the book I had to double check that I was actually reading the right book.
The book, by Richard Fenton and Andrea Waltz, tells the story of Eric Bratton who learns the power of going for no in his job as a clothing salesman.
Here's Richard on stage telling the story of his sales manager, Harold, who introduced the go for no concept to him in real life.
The story about Harold was the turning point in Richard's life, as wells Eric's life in the book.
This was one of the things that Richard talked about when he and Andrea presented at the Relationship Marketing Grand Summit a couple of weeks ago.
Check out this interview between Eric Worre and Ray Higdon, both well known names in the network marketing profession and hear how going for twenty no's a day exploded Ray's business:
You don't have to be in network marketing to see massive results in your business...just read "Go For No" and apply the lessons learned to your business. But if you are in network marketing, tune in tomorrow to find out about how to apply go for no in network marketing with the book "Million Dollar Year", another parable by Richard and Andrea. They have a third book, "Go For No! for Network Marketing" co-written with Ray Higdon, which is not written as a parable; although I've only read a preview of this book so far...so look for more on this one later.
You can check out some of what I learned from Richard and Andrea at the Relationship Marketing Grand Summit in this post.
