Transfer spending

I hadn't heard the term before, but when I heard Casey Eberhart talking about it in a Facebook Live yesterday, I knew what it was.

If you don't know Casey, you should get to know him. He's a speaker, trainer, entrepreneur, business coach, network marketing supporter and all around awesome guy!

Casey buys as many products as possible from network marketers, direct sellers and small businesses. He says that although some of the products he uses are things he didn't use before, many of them are things that he was buying from other places, such as Walmart, Whole Foods and other places. In these cases all he did was transfer his spending from one place to another. Why does he do this? One reason is to support the industry that he is passionate about, but also because his spending now makes a difference in the lives of his friends.

When you spend $100 at Walmart, the Walton family doesn't even notice...however, your $100 plus millions of other people spending $100 at Walmart is noticeable to them. But if you were to spend that $100 with a small business owner, it makes a huge difference. So, buy your skin care products from someone like Jennifer Alves with Mary Kay, Justin Duncan with Arbonne or Pam Davis with NuSkin. Or your household products from Jerre Bates with Melaleuca. Or essential oils from Paul Ornelas with doTerra. Or legal services from Gat Slor with LegalShield. Or any of your dozens of friends trying to make a living from their businesses. Most of these are things that you're already buying, so why not transfer some of your spending to your friends?

Don't you think your friends deserve your support more than the Walton family (#14, 15 & 16 on the richest people in the world list)?
