Rant

I found out after deleting a whole bunch of my old gmails that my note with a bunch of future blog post ideas was deleted also. I guess I need to find out a way to recover permanently deleted emails from my gmail account.

So, I'm looking for topics for future blog posts. All suggestions are welcome!

Thanks!!!!

DIKW

DIKW stands for data, information, knowledge and wisdom and is often represented as a hierarchy

Here's an example of data, just a bunch of seemingly random letters:

YPAMZUJGSNYHNEQ
GXZQFCBNMIWQRUS

Information answers the questions: who, what, when, where:

RICK, TOMPKINS, CANTERBURY, LANE, DUBLIN, CALIFORNIA

Knowledge answers the how question:

+ + + Y + + + + + + + + A + +
+ + + + R + + + + + + + I + +
+ + + + + U + + S + + + N + +
+ + + + + + B N + + + + R + +

And Wisdom answers the Why question: because it's fun!

In network marketing there are a couple of sayings relating to why:

The first is to find the why that makes you cry:

The woman in the video is with Beachbody. That's the company I was with when I was introduced to SendOutCards about 3 1/2 years ago. I figured SOC was a good way to promote my Beachbody business, but after 4 months I still had 3 1/2 months of their Shakeology powder left, I figured Beachbody wasn't a good fit so I stayed with SendOutCards.

But how do you find the why that makes you cry? You need to figure out what you want, who you want to do it with, where you want to do it and when...you need information!

Ask yourself "What do I want?". Then ask "Why?". You may want more money, but why do you want more money? Is it to stay at home with your kids? To enable your spouse to work less...or not at all? Is it because you're retiring and want the same or better lifestyle as you had when working? Now ask yourself why again. Why do you want to stay home with your kids? Maybe it's because your mom worked when you were young and you missed having her around. For everything you want, ask yourself why and keep digging until you find the why that makes you cry. It's been said that it takes 5 - 7 whys until you get there.

The second saying in network marketing is With a strong enough why, you can endure any how:

The "how" that you've chosen to get what you want may be difficult, but if you remember the why that makes you cry, you'll be able to keep going.
