Try to remember #TBT

This is kind of a continuation of yesterday's theme of reminiscence.

Try To Remember is one of my favorite songs. It's from the play "The Fantisticks". I've never seen the play but I've always liked the song. The original off Broadway show ran from 1960 to 2002, making it the world's longest running musical! The song was originally performed by Jerry Orbach. Here is Jerry singing the song:

Although the 1965 version by the Brothers Four is the one that I remember:

This is a more recent recording. I saw a similar recording 4 or 5 years ago on PBS during a folk group reunion and it really struck me how much more poignant this song is 50 years later.

And it's even more appropriate since next month is September, so try to make it "the kind of September, When life was slow and oh, so mellow."

Prompings Academy

The first Promptings Academy in about a year and a half (I believe) is coming up this Saturday at 9:00 AM  -  4:00 PM MDT.

This will be the first PA under the Greener Still umbrella and I'm really looking forward to it!

We’re elevating Promptings Academy for 2021 – you’ll learn about how to spread the Greener Still culture of kindness into the world, bring hope and authentic connection to your community, and act on your promptings!

Founder and CVO Kody Bateman created this inspiring program to help cultivate your personal development and inspire you to become your best self. During the event, he invites all attendees to build on who they are as they take action to change their lives and the lives of those around them.

The price is $35 (plus fees and taxes), which is a great price for a full day of personal development training but if you're local to the Modesto, CA area, I'm going to have a watch party at my apartment starting at 7:30 AM PDT with coffee and donuts before the event and sandwiches and chips for lunch during the event.
